Holiday time again

October has seen a few surpises for us. We wondered why the last week of October was blocked out for English class holidays - now we know! There are 5 weeks in October and the students pay for four - so we get the week off!

We have planned a little trip to Kyoto, Hiroshima and Himeji castle. We will be gone for 5 days. Bobby Baden will be staying in our house. We met Bobby a week ago. he has come to Soai Christ Church to do a one month's intership. As his name suggests, he is a Westerner from Maryland. He is a church planter her in Japan and speaks Japanese fluently much to our delight. He has been a great help to us in keeping us in the loop and helping with Bible times and English teaching. He is staying in our 'prophet's room'. (a bed, a lamp, a table!)

Our other exciting news is that Chris and Jo are having a baby at the end of March - a good time to come home I think. Also our church at home will be starting a new church plant in our area next year and we would love to be part of that.

This Monday we went to the Rose Garden with some of our English class. We also enjoyed a free foot bath at the Kimono town hall and visited open fields of cosmos.
